The Story

What started out as a cold, gray and overcast summer morning at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco suddenly changed into a bright sunny day while my husband and I crossed the San Francisco Bay on our way to Sausalito. A single sail boat floated across the calm deep blue waters at full sail just in front of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Upon returning to my studio, I imagined the peaceful, relaxing moment with acrylic paint on a 16x20 canvas. My original was then digitally recaptured and printed on metal in the same 16x20 size.

Metal Prints Distinctive Luminance

Metal prints is a new art medium that preserves images by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. The process produces vibrant works of art with ultra high definition colors and a unique luminescence. Colors are vibrant with exquisite detail and resolution. The grains in the canvas and brush strokes are visible in this faithful reproduction.

The surface of choice for paintings is a satin finish that is smooth, very even and soft appearance with minimal glare. Better than the original, the ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily using a soft cloth with non-ammonia based window cleaner or water.

The metal prints will easily last a lifetime with an image stability that is 2 to 4 times that of traditional silver based photo papers - just avoid direct sunlight. The print is mounted with a float mount hanger attached to the back of the print, and float the print 1/2-inch off the wall when hung.

Production

Metal prints are made to order and require 2-3 business days to produce and 2-5 days for shipping. All shipping costs are included in the price.

Note: The Pac2Go logo is removed for all production metal prints.
